We are looking for a Transport Manager to join a modern, innovative team in Central Bedfordshire. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding and have managed a team delivering traffic improvement and road safety schemes. Day to day you will be able to deliver key improvements through policy development, the implementation of traffic calming, accessibility and road safety schemes, along with their associated traffic regulation orders and assess the impact of traffic on the network using a data led approach. Your team will be responsible. for requests for new highway infrastructure such as traffic signs and road marking, traffic calming, pedestrian crossings and new footpaths
You will need a background in a similar position ideally with traffic engineering/management background.. You will be highly organised have indepth knowledge of the industry and enjoy completing tasks in a complex environment.
In return the company offer a permanent salary scale of between 52547 - £55929
