Assistant Finance Business Partner

To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to come and join our team, on a permanent basis, based at Ibstock Head Office (LE67 6HS).

As Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Be responsible for 4 Concrete sites (mileage from LE67 6HS: Cebastone 0, Anstone 53, Shearstone 140, Thornley 170)• Regularly travel to your responsible sites, with occasional visits to other sites within the division• Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within our Sales/ Commercial and Operational teams• Produce monthly management accounts with precise analysis and insights, including variance analysis and KPI's• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews, to identify and eliminate risk• Ensure all monthly reporting is completed accurately and in accordance with company timetable and requirements• Produce Forecasts and Budget for all elements of P&L• Instigate and hold monthly/ regular review meetings onsite with all stakeholders and budget holders to manage costs and advise on performance• Ensure relevant business area meets profit requirements, challenging robustly but appropriately where required• Provide assistance and good practice training to factories where applicable• Implement financial controls across all departments/sites, and ensure adherence• Respond to audit queries and requirements from Group and external auditors• Have a continuous Process Improvement mind-set striving towards Best Practice within the division and across the wider Finance Community• Contribute to delivery of our must-win battles and key priorities, and achieve annual objectivesEssential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Strong Excel skills• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written• Ability to influence at all levels• Ability to speak up and positively challenge• Take ownership and accountability of tasks • Some understanding of financial systems and controls• Self-starter and ‘can do' attitude, with a ‘right first time' mind-set• Previous experience in Management Accounts/ month end process• Analytical, with strong attention to detailDesirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Experience using JDE, Hubble and Cognos• Be at that start of your journey studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)More details:
