QA Test Automation Engineer - Exeter £65,000

Posted by SR2.

I have an exciting role for an Automation Tester to join my client based in Exeter. They operate a hybrid model and would love someone who is happy to come into the office 2 days a week.

They are a really exciting scaleup with a super interesting AI powered product and ambitious plans for growth. They have a team of approximately 45 and you'll be joining as the sole QA on their core development team which currently has a team of 4 developers which will be increasing to 6 later this year.

They work in an agile environment and you'll be the lead on all things testing and automation across their AWS based products, although they see quality as a shared responsibility amongst the team so it won't all come down to you although they have had a qa previously so there is a good process in place already. You will be leading the testing across their web platform and mobile app and will embed yourself within the development team working closely with developers and championing a culture of quality. The role will initially involve a mixture of automation testing, building out their Cypress automation suite as well as some manual testing (defining acceptance criteria, writing test cases and producing test reports.) but, they are keen for the role to become much more automation heavy very quickly.

There is also the opportunity for this person to move into more of a leadership role as the team grows over the next couple of years.

It's a great opportunity for an experienced automation tester with experience in JavaScript/ Typescript automation and tools like Playwright and who has worked with CI/CD and fancies joining a company operating in a really exciting space.

Salary is from £50,000 up to £65,000 dependent on experience.
