My client, a well-respected law firm, are seeking to recruit an experienced Litigation Paralegal who is diligent, self-motivated and a fast learner. The successful candidate will be working directly with a partner and other qualified and unqualified staff. They will be able to demonstrate experience in the criteria listed below and be able to hit the ground running with variety of litigation matters. They must have technical knowledge commensurate to their level of experience as well as a pro-active approach to risk management, a willingness to learn, and a good knowledge of property transactions. Client care is a priority, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate when they have gone over and above to provide a top-quality service to the client. They will be keen to progress and grow within the department. Relevant professional training will be provided and career development opportunities available to the right candidate.

- Educated to degree level.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Be able to demonstrate confidence and self-motivation.
- Able to work to strict deadlines and in a pressurised environment.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- IT literate.
- Be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and to progress.
Essential Experience
- Knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules
- Experience of dealing with County Court claims
- Debt recovery;
- Liaising with a briefing Counsel
Preferable Experience
- Mortgagee possession claims.
- Landlord and tenant work.
- Experience in high court and tribunal proceedings.
- Exposure to general litigation.
Desirable skills
- LPC would be an advantage but not essential.
