Product Development Engineer Permanent Full-Time
Salary - Circa £35,000 DOE
Location - In office, Northampton

They have experienced healthy continuous growth and are looking to expand their Product Development Engineer team to support their increasing demand.
Responsibilities, but are not limited to
- Designing new products that are conform to pressure vessel standards (PED 2014/68/EU) are CE marked
- Performing market research to understand market requirements for new product development
- Conceptualizing new product ideas by using CAD software SolidWorks to design prototypes
- Fabricating prototypes for testing
- Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems
- Sampling different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances, and other factors to find the best ones that suit the new product brief
- Delivering product specifications and procedures to the manufacturing team for production purposes
- Analysing existing products to identify areas for improvement and updating current documentation
- Providing creative solutions for complex challenges in gas spring design
- Run R&D projects, including design, prototype manufacture and prototype testing
Experiences required
- Proficient using SolidWorks for 3D Modelling
- Educated or Time Served in Engineering or similar
- Background in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
- Able to create detailed technical drawings for manufacture (DFM)
- Design for Hydraulics or Pneumatics is advantageous
- Product or Industrial Product Design is advantageous
- SolidWorks Simulation of FEA software: Abaqus or Ansys is advantageous
