- Location: Edinburgh (covering East Lothian up to Dundee)
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: £33,000- £34,000
- Working pattern- 4 days remote 1 day in Edinburgh office. The client will consider part-time, flexi time!
Our client is looking for a dedicated Housing Officer to join their Housing Services team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality customer service to our tenants, applicants, and stakeholders, ensuring an efficient and responsive housing management service
Day to Day of the role:
- Deliver exceptional housing and customer service, reflecting our standards and values.
- Encourage and support tenant engagement activities in collaboration with the Team Leader.
- Work with partners, local authorities, and agencies to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.
- Engage with community organisations to support and promote independent living opportunities.
- Manage allocations and empty homes effectively to minimise void periods.
- Take responsibility for rent and service charge accounting, income management control, and arrears control actions.
- Lead on tenancy and estate management within your area, dealing with anti-social behaviour and managing contracts for communal area services.
- Promote and deliver innovative and personalised customer engagement, supporting digital inclusion and reducing isolation.
- Contribute to achieving performance standards and targets, producing statistical and performance management information as required.
- Ensure compliance with Blackwood policies and legislative requirements, including health and safety and equal opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a housing officer role or similar.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and policies.
