The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright Group are supporting a market leading service provider headquartered in the North East in their sales recruitment. Our client supports a range of customers across the private and public sectors in the UK and abroad and is trusted by some of the UK's most iconic brands.

The business is growing rapidly and to support the growth they require an experienced Business Development Manager to capitalise on the significant market opportunity. The role will offer hybrid working following initial training.

Role Profile:

  • Generate new prospects via a variety of marketing and client acquisition methods.
  • Manage prospective clients through the entire sales cycle.
  • Prospect clients and carry out product demos providing a consultative sales approach.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to successful close.
  • Providing prospects with highly tailored and high-quality information and documentation on a timely basis.
  • Achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
  • Track all leads and sales activities in the relevant CRM system.
  • Produce regular management information on the sales pipeline.
  • Work with stakeholders to build knowledge in the product.

Person Specification:

  • A resilient, tenacious self-starter.
  • Experience in longer and sometimes complex sales cycles would be advantageous.
  • Ability to demonstrate continual achievement of sales targets.
  • Adopt a consultative selling approach as your default selling style.
  • Demonstrable success within a new business prospecting environment.
  • Professional services and/or software industry background would be advantageous.
