A well-respected Housing Association is currently looking to recruit a Project Worker to start with them on a temporary contract as soon as possible.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Sunday on a rota doing shifts)
Duration: 6 months ongoing
Location: East Sussex
Main duties of the role:
- Deliver emotional and life skills based support young people in supported accommodation
- Offer life based support and assist with daily living such as budgeting and preparing to move on into independent accommodation
- Actively involve service users in developing their support plans to reach their individual goals and aspirations
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements, sourcing employment and education opportunities
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures including low level Anti-Social Behaviour
- Signposting to other support agencies as appropriate including counselling services, drug and alcohol services and housing services
Essential requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS from within the last year with the Adults and Children's list checked or willingness to obtain
- Experience or an interest in working with vulnerable people
- Good IT skills including Microsoft packages
