Finance Manager/Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement
  • Provide financial guidance and support to the business, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and prioritize business initiatives and projects
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Manage the finance team, including coaching, developing, and appraising staff
  • Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, and auditors
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including cash flow management and foreign exchange exposure
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including SOX, FRS 102, and EU GAAP

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role as Management Accountant/Finance Manager
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong technical skills in accounting software (e.g. Sage/Xero/QuickBooks)
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of finance professionals
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate financial risks
