Location - Chesterfield, Wingerworth

Permanent position

Salary - £36671.43 per annum and rising through increments to £39500.87 per annum

Full time hours - 37 per week

Office based position however hybrid working available

Sellick Partnership Ltd are looking to recruit an Allocations Manager to join a well established team within the housing and property services sector.

_Key responsibilities of the Allocations Manager: _

The post is responsible for the effective management of the Allocations Team in facilitating the housing application process, property letting and shortlisting, tenancy risk assessment and information verification in line with the Allocations Policy.

This includes the key duties of:

  • Team management and performance
  • Budgetary and resource responsibility
  • Policy and procedure review and implementation
  • Providing an efficient Allocations and Lettings service that is customer focused and timely

You will oversee activity and manage resources to maintain excellent customer service using solid expertise in housing/allocation law and social housing management to support operational management and team development. Your service will reflect best practice and meet regulatory and legislative requirements. You will provide and use clear management information that drives performance, with procedures and controls that understand the needs of all applicants and tenants.

Core service objectives

  • Processing housing applications and determining eligibility and priority of housing need. Ensuring that all allocations decisions are fair and transparent supported by clear and auditable records that support probity and accountability
  • Responding efficiently to a wide range of allocations and housing related enquiries, service requests and complaints with customer-focused advice to tenants, leaseholders, elected members and colleagues.
  • Manage the Allocations team to ensure there is professional handling of all contact regarding housing applications and allocations.
