Compass Corporate services are proud to be working with a family run specialist care provider to recruit a Finance Director based in the Birmingham area. Our client is a residential care provider and over the last 3 decades have rapidly expanded their family of care homes and now have facilities in some of the most beautiful relaxing surroundings in England. All of the businesses care homes are supported by a central office, which looks after all the day-to-day finances of the business, as well as being a base for their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career with a well-established, highly respected and expanding provider of residential care and specialist care services across the UK.
The Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will have overall leadership responsibility for the finance functions in the business. The Finance Director works closely with the Senior Management Team to provide critical insight into all aspects of financial performance of the business in order to deliver business objectives. They will assist the Senior Management Team in the business planning & reporting cycle (strategic plans, budgets, outlooks and forecasts). It is envisaged that this is a full-time role. This role will suit a highly motivated, analytical and versatile team player, who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The applicant should also show ability to work successfully as part of a passionate and growing team; be proactive and show initiative.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Extensive senior level accountancy experience
- Experience of managing a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to cope with change
- Previous experience in care sector would be valued
Location
The Head office is located in Birmingham, and you will be required to work full time on site with potential of going into a more hybrid style of working if needed.
