Senior Digital Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • - Definition of block-level specifications of high-speed digital circuits that meet key performance targets based on system-level requirements.
  • - Review and challenge architectural specification.
  • - Analog/digital interface specification in close cooperation with analog/mixed-signal designers.
  • - 3rd party IPs integration.
  • - RTL design and testing.
  • - Close interaction with verification and physical implementation engineers to verify circuit functionality and compliance with area, timing and power requirements.
  • - Support for post-silicon lab bring-up, debug, characterization and productization.
  • - Support and interaction with customers on requirements, design specifications, performance results and product delivery.
  • - Manage workload and schedules and report to internal management team and external customers.

Requirements:

  • - Strong analytical skills to translate system-level requirements into design.
  • - Knowledge and design experience of high-speed protocols (e.g. USB4, PCIe, DisplayPort)
  • - Strong RTL coding skills (SystemVerilog preferred).
  • - Advanced knowledge of high-speed and low-power design techniques.
  • - Knowledge of PCIe physical layer is an advantage.
  • - Scripting (Python preferred) and tool setup skills.
  • - Good understanding of CDC issues and techniques.
  • - Familiarity with analyzing synthesis and STA results.
  • - Understanding of verification methodologies, in particular UVM, is an advantage.

Experience:

  • MSc in electronics/electrical engineering (equivalent or higher).
  • 5+ years' experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong technical background in design of high-speed digital circuits in deep-submicron CMOS technologies.
  • Familiarity with PCIe protocol is highly desirable.
  • Experience with analog/digital control interfaces is valuable.
  • Exposure to Cadence tools is valuable.
