The Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. You will be responsible for monitoring accounting discrepancies, performing month-end and year-end close processes, and providing detailed financial analysis. This role also involves supporting the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
- Financial Reporting: Produce monthly management accounts for multiple entities and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, comparing actual costs to budgeted figures, and supporting the financial audit process.
- Account Management: Reconcile accounts, manage bank payments, and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Process Improvement: Review financial documents for accuracy, maintain general ledger entries, and manage vendor invoices.
- Communication: Distil complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across the organisation.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
Essential:
- Willingness to work in a varied, hands-on finance role.
- Ability to interact cross functionally and build strong working relationships with Operational leaders.
- Previous experience in a management/financial accounting role.
Preferable:
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/Engineering or project based organisation.
- Will consider qualified, part qualified or Qualified by experience.
