Nigel Wright is recruiting for a new Part Time Finance Assistant role to work for a leading Accountancy Practice based in York

Finance Assistant Part Time hours - 3 days per week Based in York £28,000+ Permanent Free Parking

The role...

  • Assisting the Financial Controllers with monthly tasks relating to a portfolio of clients
  • Processing sales invoices and some credit control
  • Also processing purchase invoices, corresponding with clients as required
  • Monthly payment runs for both suppliers and staff expenses
  • Weekly bank reconciliation
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation including petty cash & credit card transactions
  • Manage the finance inbox, forwarding, actioning and responding as required
  • Support function of end of month accounts
  • General Ad hoc admin duties as required by the team

What we are looking for?

This role would be well suited for someone AAT qualified or working towards. Some of the key things needed in this role is:

  • Strong attention to detail and able to work in a process driven role
  • Able to work on own initiative to manage a busy workload whilst still working well as part of the larger team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Computer literate with MS Office and in particular Excel functions/formulas
  • Confident communication skills both verbal and written
  • Flexible approach and able to adapt to the meet the needs of the role/team
