  • Location: Omagh, Head Office (3 days a week) with site visits in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland

Reed Health & Safety are working with a growing Construction company seeking a dedicated HSEQ Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within our operations. This role involves providing expert advice and support, ensuring the highest HSEQ standards across the group.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with a proactive HSEQ team to foster a progressive HSEQ culture at all levels.
  • Develop and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives, KPIs, legal requirements, and ISO and industry standards.
  • Support HSEQ aspects of bids, tenders, and the mobilisation of new construction sites.
  • Contribute to the company's HSEQ Pre-Qualification Processes for new suppliers and contractors.
  • Review critical HSEQ documentation under CDM Regulations NI 2016.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and non-compliance, and developing action plans.
  • Implement HSEQ training programs and promote safety and environmental awareness.
  • Manage responses to EH&S emergencies and incidents, including investigation and reporting.
  • Coordinate HSEQ-related meetings and report to senior management.
  • Conduct, review, and approve H&S Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the company's HSEQ requirements.
  • Represent the company in external HSEQ surveillance and recertification audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSEQ role.
  • Lead Auditor experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards.
  • Thorough understanding of UK, NI, and ROI legislation relating to HSEQ.
  • Experience with CDM NI Regulations.
  • Ability to travel to sites as required.
