Our client, DENSO Marston Ltd, a global leader in high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules, is seeking a talented Assistant Manager Production to join their dynamic team, reporting to the Senior Production Manager.

Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:30 – 13:30
- Flexible working: Early Friday finish
- Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
- Holiday: 25 days per year + 9 statutory bank holidays

Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the achievement of production targets and the provision of high quality parts in line with Customers delivery schedules.
- Responsible for the full achievement of KPI's on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure that financial targets are achieved.
- Analyse all production and related data and introduce countermeasures
- Establish manning requirements which reflect the production plan and ensure flexibility of the team through continually reviewing training matrix.
- Compliance to all Heath, Safety and Environmental, IATF Policies and Procedures and implement actions as required. Communicate fully within function to aid understanding and promote compliance.
- Responsible for the upkeep of all department documentation which is reflective of the current position and is accurate at all times.
- Promotes PM, TPM and machine operation ratio activities, preparing the necessary data and analysis to support departments as requested. Following agreed practices in line with Company PM Policy.
- Lead the initiative for improving the existing processes for leak, scrap and productivity through strong leadership and instigate actions and countermeasures, co-operating with all associated departments, to realise or improve targets, though application of lean tools & techniques.
- Manage overtime in line with the department plan and company policy.
- Being a champion of 5s you will ensure resources are available and monitor on a regular basis to increase and maintain standards.
- Machine failures are reported and escalation procedures are followed whilst in parallel taking actions to minimise the effect in lost production.
- Coach and develop your team to achieve a fully flexible and highly effective operational team.
- Disciplinary investigations and actions required in line with the company handbook
- Effective 2 way communication process to increase involvement, morale and the motivation off all associates.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attends meetings and prepares reports as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate expertise to ensure an effective technical level by utilising all resources available.
- Resolves associate issues
- Manage a team of Supervisors
Required Skills/Experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or at least 5 years' production management experience
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach teams
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management abilities
- Strong analytical skills to manage high levels of activity and performance monitoring
- Proficiency in IS applications
- Previous managerial experience in a production environment essential
