Group Accountant / Liverpool (Hybrid) / £60,000 - £70,000 plus a competitive benefits package.

Our client enjoys an outstanding reputation within their sector and has experienced significant growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions in recent years, solidifying their position as a key player in the market.
This role would suit an ambitious candidate who is looking to join a dynamic and experienced finance team. You will ideally be ACA/ACCA Qualified, making your second move from practice into another industry role.
Reporting directly into an impressive Group Financial Controller, your role will be broad and varied, offering you a fantastic exposure across this large group with strong career progression opportunities.
- Budget Planning - you will play in lead role in the preparation and management budget plans, working with Heads of department across the organisation. You will oversee expense reports, and manage costs, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Finance Projects - you will support with various finance-related projects, conducting analysis, and providing financial insights.
- Financial Reporting - you will track financial performance, preparing monthly reports, and comparing actual results with budget forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for all group entities
- Commercial Activities - you will support the supporting business operations, analysing financial data, and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Other Duties will include various tasks as needed to support the overall finance function. Identifying, automating, and improve reporting efficiencies within the finance department.
- As a senior member of the team, you will assist and cover the Group FC where needed with other month end duties, year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and sign off. Assist with the production & review of Group VAT/Tax and annual financial statements.
Key Skills
- Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA, with previous Audit experience from top firm.
- Proven experience in business planning and financial analysis
- Experienced managing multiple stakeholder expectations, projects & deadlines
- Team player who is highly motivated, ambitious and proactive.
- Strong communication skills, able to work well with stakeholders across the business at varying levels.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
