our school is seeking a qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics to join our Science department from April/September 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a knowledge-rich curriculum and be part of a team dedicated to providing outstanding education.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Teach Chemistry or Physics up to A Level, engaging students with a curriculum designed for retention and application of knowledge.
  • Participate in our instructional coaching programme to quickly establish effective teaching practices.
  • Benefit from a disruption-free classroom environment, supported by staff on walk during lessons.
  • Engage in co-planning and subject-specific CPD within subject teams, reducing individual workload.
  • Utilise online platforms to support spaced retrieval and teach effective learning strategies to students.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching quality and expertise within the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Chemistry or Physics.
  • Ability to teach up to A Level in the relevant science subject.
  • Commitment to a knowledge-rich curriculum and evidence-based teaching strategies.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and instructional coaching.
  • A proactive approach to creating a positive learning environment.
  • Flexibility to work as part of a team and adapt to the school's ethos and values.
