We are looking for a Production Manager to join their friendly and open Operations department in Lewes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality standards.
Day to Day of the role:
- Oversee production teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality management systems.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure smooth workflow and minimize bottlenecks.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of business systems and monitor production processes.
- Liaise with various departments to implement company policies and achieve goals.
- Uphold health and safety standards and maintain excellent housekeeping.
- Supervise and motivate staff, contributing to appraisals, disciplinary processes, and recruitment.
- Identify and address training needs, conducting inductions for new employees.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and email.
- Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and PCB/SMT terminology.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
- Familiarity with company systems and policies.
- Flexibility and quality consciousness with an understanding of IPC standards.
- Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean work environment.
