Macildowie are seeking an experienced finance interim to join a rapidly growing company who are seeking an additional pair of hands in the team to take responsibility for historic reconciliations, ensuring financial records and balance sheet accounts are accurate and clear, ahead of further business growth.
Role title: Reconciliations Accountant
Location: Remote (option to work from office if preferred)
What you'll do:
- Perform thorough reconciliations of all historic balance sheet accounts, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies to ensure accuracy and tidiness of financial records.
- Assist in the production of management information to drive business performance.
- Support the team in preparation of the upcoming year-end and audit, providing documentation and supporting schedules as required.
- Continuously strive for process improvement, and make suggestions where this would drive team and business efficiencies.
- Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
What you'll need:
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred; or demonstrably qualified by experience (QBE).
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in similar roles.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Could have: ambition for career progression, with desire to grow into a Financial Controller role.
