BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Personal/Executive Assistant to join our client who are an award-winning group of financial services and technology companies based in Newburn, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

  • Working Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (1hr Lunch) (Flexible with starting hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end executive support to multiple Executive Committee members, ensuring seamless coordination of all administrative, scheduling, and communication needs.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders, board members, and senior leadership.
  • Prepare, proofread, and manage confidential correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Handle sensitive information with absolute discretion and maintain the highest levels of professionalism at all times. Confidentiality is essential here.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of strategic offsites, leadership events, and board-level meetings.
  • Monitor and manage executive inboxes, ensuring prompt responses and flagging of urgent matters.
  • Support with administrative processes such as expense management, approvals, document handling, and compliance checks.

Skills and attributes:

  • Executive Support: Demonstrated ability to provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders, managing complex calendars, travel arrangements, and shifting priorities across multiple time zones.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and proofreading high-quality documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Event Coordination: Proven experience supporting the delivery of strategic offsites, leadership events, and board-level meetings.
  • Inbox and Workflow Management: Skilled in overseeing executive inboxes, flagging priorities, and ensuring timely responses.
  • Administrative Excellence: Strong competency in expense processing, approvals, compliance, and document management using modern productivity tools.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Absolute professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly organised, proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of operating with discretion and sound judgement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other productivity tools, with strong general computer literacy.
