Transport Coordinator

Reed is seeking a dedicated Transport Coordinator to join our highly reputable company based in Whittlesey. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth transportation of bulk goods, across the UK and EU. With modern equipment and comprehensive training, we are committed to maintaining high service levels.
Day to Day of the role:
- Monitor the day's activities using our Vehicle Tracking system to identify and address any arising issues promptly.
- Update customers and growers with accurate arrival times.
- Problem-solve transport and delivery issues as they occur.
- Liaise with the workshop, planners, and drivers to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist with customs requirements and international paperwork for UK-EU movement.
- Manage various email inboxes, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Liaise with planners, customers, clients, and drivers to coordinate transport activities.
- Data input tasks, including entering new customer orders and updating existing ones.
- Manage the driver rota to ensure all trucks are appropriately staffed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a transport or customer service role, with a good understanding of transport logistics.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- IT literacy.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and manage a workload effectively.
