Role Overview:

This South Leeds School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, teachers, and parents to support positive behaviour and emotional well-being, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting self-esteem and resilience.
  • Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on students' progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or support setting.
  • A relevant qualification in education, child development, psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
