Temporary Sales Ledger Clerk

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are excited to be partnering with a leading business in the Barnsley area, who are seeking a confident and knowledgeable Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team to support during a period of business change and growth. This role will initially be on a temporary basis for c. 3 months, but there may be scope for permanency for the right candidate!

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Ledger professional who has proven B2B and B2C debt collection / account reconciliation experience to be able to jump in and hit the ground running!

Duties & Responsibilities of the Credit Controller will include:

  • Raising all sales invoices for customers
  • Ensuring customers pay within their agreed payment terms
  • Chasing outstanding customer payment via email, letter, and phone
  • Processing and reconciling card payments
  • Allocation of payments
  • Setting up new customers
  • Sending copy invoices where required
  • Scanning sales invoices, renaming, and filing

Required experience for Credit Controller:

  • At least 2 years' experience of working in a credit control role.
  • Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
  • Be competent using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Good communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to listen and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent verbal communications
