This role will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely payroll for over 35,000 people across the business.
You will also play a key role in mentoring & leading the wider payroll team.

Description
Payroll Team Leader duties include:
- Ensuring the completion of payrolls for 35,000 colleagues over 43 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, over weekly, lunar and monthly pay frequencies
- Ensuring the team are meeting key deadlines and SLA's to a high quality
- Promoting best practice and ensuring the team are keeping our colleagues at the centre of what they do
- Training the team on payroll processing and legislative changes, monitoring their performance and helping them develop in their careers.
- Proactively keeping an eye on trends in queries and liaising with key stakeholders across the business to resolve issues at source
- You'll be the go-to person for guidance and support both within the team and across the business.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Have knowledge of working with high volume payrolls
- Be CIPP qualified - beneficial
- Have mentoring / supervisory experience
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Be able to work to tight deadlines
- Have a high level of attention to detail
