Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client in Runcorn. The ideal candidate will assist in managing our company's financial records and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

This is full-time permanent position based in Runcorn. Salary is £26,000 per annum. Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, office based. Immediate start date available.

Responsibilities

  • To oversee and manage the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
  • Input all supplier invoices, credits and debit notes
  • Matching, coding and posting invoices
  • Creating and maintaining supplier accounts
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of company credit cards
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Daily management of the accounts payable in-box
  • Sales ledger cash posting
  • Keeping files for all purchase and sales ledger up to date
  • assisting in month end processes including preparation of journals
  • Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero

Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software like Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
- Experience in accounts payable and financial services
- Strong data entry skills
