Key Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student's work, ensuring all pupils are supported to achieve their potential
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated
  • Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with national standards
  • Take part in wider school activities, such as parent evenings and school events

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Science (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics)
  • Proven experience teaching Science at secondary school level (ECT's are welcome to apply)
  • A passion for Science and the ability to engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to a collaborative teaching environment
