Time Appointments are delighted to be working with one of Suffolk's leading road hauliers, a family-owned business, that are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience of running a General Haulage Fleet to come in and work with a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the scheduling and dispatching a fleet of HGVs on a daily basis.
- Support a team of HGV drivers in line with Company values.
- Develop the customer base to increase weekly vehicle revenue.
- Track the performance and profitability of operations against financial targets.
- Promote the Company services and be a brand ambassador.
- Ensure vehicle revenues and customer service levels are maintained.
- Safety, health and compliance (Driver hours, WTD).
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in commercial operations, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment
- Knowledge of pallet networks and/or general distribution.
- Transport Management CPC.
