Accounts Receivable Assistant

As part of the Accounts Receivable team, you will support with the accurate and timely raising and recording of invoices. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will have a high degree of interaction with the UK and Overseas finance teams as well as stakeholders across the wider business.

Leading Investment Bank with Global Reach. Based in Central London. Hybrid working (3 days in office).

Description

Reporting to the Head of Accounts Receivable, you will be a vital part of the AR and Billings team including:

  • Timely and accurate processing of invoices for EMEA and APAC regions
  • Following revenue recognition procedures and SOX controls
  • Ownership of billable expense reporting to business heads
  • Monthly review for accruals
  • Credit Control on overdue debtors as and when required
  • Posting of cash receipts and subsequent notifications to relevant people in the organisation
  • Supporting the AR team on the month end process to close the books
  • Support with annual auditor queries and requests
  • Involvement in project work and process improvements

Profile

  • Prior roles with Accounts Receivable / Billings duties
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Professional
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with all levels within the organisation
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition standards is advantageous (IFRS 15)
  • Basic bookkeeping knowledge
  • Desire to develop career in Finance e.g. via professional qualification
  • Strong interest in working in Banking / Financial Services sector (previous FS sector highly desirable)
