Mathematics Consultant / Senior Mathematical Consultant / Optimisation Specialist - 6 months HYBRID or REMOTE
Are you passionate about solving complex mathematical problems and have a knack for optimisation? Join my client as a Mathematics Consultant and make a significant impact by developing and implementing cutting-edge optimisation models. This is a contractor position, requiring your expertise for approximately three days per week from mid-June to the start of July for a few months. Your skills will directly influence critical projects, driving efficiency and innovation.

What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and implementing optimisation models using Python.
- Utilising libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and specialised optimisation libraries like Gurobi.
- Applying mathematical optimisation techniques to solve complex problems.
- Formulating and solving Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Linear Programming (LP) problems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and best practices in version control and testing.
- Deep understanding of mathematical optimisation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Linear Programming (LP).
- Experience with energy systems or familiarity with National Grid ESO is a plus.
