Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Visual Designer to join their team on a contract basis, initially for 6 months with a view to extend.

Please note, this role is INSIDE IR35. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week required on-site in Oxford.

Visual Designer – Key Skills:

  • Soft skills such as great attention to detail. You're an effective and considered communicator, you have resilience, and solid stakeholder management capabilities, amongst others.
  • Output quality skills such as being able to oversee quality and consistency of work and understand a project's requirements at a strategic and tactical level, amongst others.
  • Project delivery skills such as understanding and defining a project's scope, outcome, and deliverables. Working at various velocities depending on the project needs, and prioritising work based on learnings and priority shifts, amongst others.
  • Visual design skills such as helping support in designing and maintaining design systems, recognising how to support accessibility standards, and helping adhere to visual design guidelines, amongst others.
  • A mix of interaction / usability design skills, and visual design skills, are needed to be successful in this role. Part of the visual design champion role and responsibilities focuses on the granular execution of components and patterns, in its entirety, from how users interact with each component and pattern, to their look and feel. In doing so, it frees up the Product Designers to focus on complex problem solving. Examples include crafting customer journeys and user flows, as well as defining, tracking, and reporting metrics that track our product's experience, amongst others.
