Management Accountant

A substantial and growing business with multiple sites across Devon is seeking a Management Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience, either qualified or QBE, to lead a dedicated team within the Finance Office. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a track record of producing timely management accounts and possesses strong leadership skills.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Produce monthly management accounts within specified deadlines.
- Reconcile full balance sheet monthly.
- Conduct monthly accounts reviews with local management team/divisional team.
- Manage weekly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with management teams on all aspects of working capital to minimise/reduce.
- Forecast cash flow and manage regional accounting centre operations.
- Ensure adherence to accounting procedures across the department and the entire company.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding company information.
- Assist the Financial Controller.
- Utilise proficient Excel skills for extensive spreadsheet work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in a management accounting role.
- Qualified accountant or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
- Prior motor trade experience is advantageous, as is knowledge of bespoke systems linked to this industry.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Ability to support managers and wider stakeholders in making informed financial decisions.
- Skilled in clear and concise reporting to the board during key financial periods and for ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Proficient in Excel and capable of handling extensive spreadsheet work.
