JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual, who thrives working on multiple data business projects simultaneously whilst being hands on to deliver daily operational support.

The successful candidate will support the Data Management Strategy and tactical implementation. Working cross functionally with key stakeholders across the business, taking the lead role in maintaining the integrity of company and product data internally and externally, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.

The company is a market leading and fast-growing company. A long established, thriving manufacturer and distributor of high-quality wiring, lighting and electrical accessories which are widely specified by the major UK new build developers and are distributed through the electrical wholesale and retail DIY channels.

This is an onsite role 830am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management / PIM - Content

  • Setting Up Products on both in ERP and PIM systems, ensuring alignment
  • Data input, maintenance, assets (attaching to item files) ensuring accuracy and completeness to maximise business process and reporting efficiency
  • Digital Asset Management – maintenance of Digital Assets such as images, data sheets, photometric data so that it is up to date and complete.
  • Reporting from PIM, e.g. Product Compliance (certification expiry)
  • Providing data for Compliance Reporting, e.g. WEEE, Batteries, Waste Packaging, from the PIM and ERP systems
  • Update BIM data
  • Customer Requests – managing and completing customer data and information requests, primarily regarding product data, liaising with and obtaining information from relevant stakeholders.
  • Product Data – Ensure that operational procedures are maintained and followed so that product data is accurately provided, ready to be checked and loaded to relevant business systems.
  • Data Management Tactical Plan – in collaboration with internal stakeholders implement the tactical plan, ensure alignment with management and stakeholders. Lead the change management process.
  • Third Party Database Updates – providing company records to third party databases so that they are up to date, accurate and complete.
  • Data Project Management – Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is provided for business projects, meeting agreed objectives and timescales

Appreciation for the need of correct data as it affects the website, on-line trading, exporting products (e.g. weights)

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Ideally familiarity with a PIM and ERP systems
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • with Must be highly organised and have demonstrable experience handling multiple projects simultaneously as well as supporting daily operational requirements.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and project manage data projects
  • 5+ years data management experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a thorough and accurate approach to work
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in both a team environment and on own
  • Resourceful and lateral thinking with a creative approach to tasks
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Drive, ambition and enthusiasm to deliver results and progress within the organisation
