Location: Oxfordshire

A thrilling opportunity has emerged for a Vehicle Systems Engineer within the dynamic automotive industry. This role is integral to the comprehensive design and development of vehicle systems, spanning from the initial identification of requirements to the final stages of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle-Level Systems Architecture Design: Craft and optimize the overarching architecture that dictates the integration and interaction of various vehicle systems.
  • Design of High and Low Voltage Systems: Develop and implement robust electrical and communication systems to meet the specific demands of modern vehicles.
  • Vehicle Electrical Systems Integration: Ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the vehicle, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance across all components.
  • Real-Time Embedded Control Software Development: Design and develop embedded control software that operates in real-time, enhancing the vehicle's performance and functionality.
  • Test Rig Design and Implementation: Create and deploy test rigs to rigorously evaluate system performance, ensuring reliability and adherence to specifications.
  • Application Testing, Calibration, and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and calibration of vehicle systems, ensuring they meet all required standards and operate flawlessly under various conditions.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Expertise in Vehicle Systems Architecture Design: Demonstrated experience in creating and refining vehicle systems architecture.
  • Proficiency in Wiring Loom Design: Skilled in designing wiring looms that are both efficient and compliant with industry standards.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Communication Systems: Extensive experience with CAN and LIN communication protocols, as well as proficiency with tools such as PEAK and Vector CANalyzer/CANoe.
  • Software Development Skills: Strong background in Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and proficiency with PC application development using Visual Studio.
  • Comprehensive Understanding of Vehicle Systems: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, thermal, and other vehicle systems, and how they interact within the overall vehicle design.
