At Gi Group we are looking for Assembly Operatives to work in the production department of a large worldwide manufacturer, based in Cheltenham (GL51). Temp to Permanent positions with potential for progression within a growing company.

Job Details for an Assembly Operative

  • £11.44 per hour
  • Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm
  • Friday: EARLY FINISH: 8am - 1pm
  • 30 minute lunch break + 15 minute additional break
  • Experience desirable but not essential
  • Dexterity based
  • Based on a production line, assembling goods. Using drills, glue guns and other tools to assist with the build.
  • Full induction provided - Manual handling training, HSE training.
  • Steel toe cap boots required for site

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assembling components and ensuring parts are fitted correctly, using the correct equipment required, for example hand drill or glue gun.
  • Diagnosing machine problems.
  • Ensuring work space is clean and complying with health and safety standards
  • Performing preventative maintenance, reporting, and resolving any faults or assembly line issues.
  • Complying with industry and company health and safety standards

Skills required:

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, under pressure
  • Good attention to
  • Excellent Communication
  • Knowledge of machinery desirable
  • Experience in production or assembly desirable
