Responsibilities:

  • Deployment Framework: Design and manage the deployment framework for data science services, ensuring seamless data flow from our business data warehouse into the data science lifecycle.
  • Lifecycle Automation: Lead the automation of the data science process, from dataset creation to model deployment, monitoring, and updates.
  • Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and other technical teams to enhance our analytics capabilities.
  • Coding Excellence: Develop and maintain high-quality Python code for model training and deployment, adhering to best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Python programming expertise.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
  • Proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with tools like pytest.
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments, particularly on Azure.
  • Skilled in using Databricks.
  • Familiarity with managed endpoints and orchestration tools like AKS.
  • Competent with Version Control Systems (VCS) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to identify and solve business problems using machine learning techniques.
  • Proven track record in developing predictive and prescriptive models.

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced degrees in fields such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or statistics.
  • Background in data science within finance, insurance, or eCommerce sectors.
  • Experience with neural networks and tools like TensorFlow, CatBoost, XGBoost, SKlearn, and Pandas.
