About the Role:
As a Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among the students. You'll deliver engaging lessons that capture the imagination and encourage exploration, helping students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications. You'll work alongside talented colleagues who share your passion for science and are committed to delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
  • Emphasise real-world applications of scientific principles, utilising hands-on experiments and cutting-edge resources to make science relevant and captivating for students.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for scientific inquiry, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Experience of teaching science at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
