Day to Day of the Role:
- Increase the organisation's profile across media, influencers, celebrities, organisations, and businesses.
- Proactively seek ways to raise our profile, utilising key staff, celebrities, and stakeholders.
- Lead and develop strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance promotion and support.
- Develop media contacts across all areas of the charity's work and secure exclusive media placements.
- Write media releases for various campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor media outlets for promotional opportunities and manage paid media.
- Contribute to social media, campaigns, PR, and other communications initiatives.
- Act as a public spokesperson in media interviews when required and build the business supporter scheme.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in PR or a similar role, preferably within a related sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce innovative copy.
- Experience in developing commercial and strategic relationships across print, online news, TV, and radio.
- Ability to pitch and secure media coverage effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adept at using social media platforms for promotion and engagement.
- Passion for veganism and the objectives of the organisation.
