A fantastic opportunity with a local housing charity organisation for a Criminal Justice Casework Coordinator to join their team in Weston-Super-Mare on a permanent, part time basis.
- Salary of £19,600 (Full Time Equivalent £24,500)
- Hours are 30 hours per week
- On call 1 in every 4 weeks (paid an extra £100 per week when on-call)
- Location: Weston-Super-Mare
- A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work

The Criminal Justice Casework Coordinator Role:
- You will work closely with key partner agencies such as the National Probation Service, Police and other criminal justice and generic support services.
- You'll offer person-centred keywork sessions to service users, assessing and supporting them to maintain accommodation and make positive changes in their life.
- You'll proactively manage the overall safety and security of buildings, and ensure any maintenance issues are identified and addressed quickly.
- Duties include:
- Build positive and effective working relationships and agreements with relevant external agencies which will include working closely with criminal justice services.
- Complete needs assessment/risk assessment for clients leading to the delivery of key elements of support plans which meet individual client need and reduce re-offending
- Take part in rostered systems of working which may include weekend and evening working as required.
- Any other duties within the scope of the post as directed by the Service Manager or other senior staff.
The Successful Criminal Justice Casework Coordinator Applicant:
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion and approaches which seek to address these
- Experience working with people who have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Good communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work.
