Goods In / Warehouse Operative

Location: Maldon

39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm, Friday: 8am to 4pm

  • Overtime paid at time and a half after completion of 39 hours Monday to Friday.
  • Permanent, full-time contract based on hourly pay.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our client's Head Office based in Maldon.

Role Purpose:

As a Goods Inward Operative, you will play a vital role in organising and controlling the goods inward area. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the distribution of goods to other branches efficiently and in a timely manner. A well-organised and accessible goods inward area is essential to support the Parts/Showroom team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transfer stock into stores and showroom, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Unpack and process supplier parcels, checking for quality and quantity.
  • Load and unload internal lorries, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise forklift skills (desirable) to handle stock.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in general computer skills, including email and internet use.
  • Display good numeracy and literacy skills while recording stock data.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be a team player, capable of working alone or with other team members.
  • Exhibit initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Hold a valid full driving licence.
  • Maintain good health and fitness levels.
