Faculty / Directorate

The Directorate offers full-service marketing and communications support to the university - with this role sitting within the Widening Access Team, Future Students. The Widening Accessteam's primary remit is to form positive relationships with local schools, working with under-represented groups delivering a range of initiatives and programmes for pre-16 students. Engaging face to face with potential students, raising aspirations and promoting the opportunities higher education provides.

Role

DMU is excited to advertising for a Widening Participation Coordinator role. Reporting to the Widening Participation Manager, you will support DMU's pre-16 outreach activity with a long-term focus on increasing student numbers as well as widening access, core elements our Empowering university strategy and Access and Participation Plan.

Day to day you will be supporting the promotion, preparation and delivery of our student-facing widening participation activities. Most importantly, you will be crucial in supporting the evaluation of our outreach efforts, in tracking, monitoring and ensuring we are capture data accurately and in a timely manner. We are a fairly newly formed team, and so, there will be plenty of opportunity to be creative, helping shape our widening access offering.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, imaginative and an enthusiastic team player, have excellent communication and organisation skills, alongside your natural flexibility and positive approach to your work. An enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
