Job Description:

As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Music lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Your role will involve cultivating students' musical abilities, creativity, and appreciation for music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Music lessons that cater to a range of student abilities.
  • Develop and implement a Music curriculum that aligns with school standards and meets the educational needs of students.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their musical development.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in Music education, integrating new teaching methods and technologies into your practice.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Organize and participate in school concerts, performances, and other musical events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall academic and personal development of students.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Relevant degree in Music or a related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Music.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
