What You Get to Do:
- Repair and maintain tooling to support production and customer requirements.
- Diagnose and improve tooling through detailed assessments and preventive maintenance.
- Create and manage tooling reports and order spare parts as needed.
- Polish and clean moulds to maintain high-quality standards.
- Implement modifications and fabricate fixtures and spare parts.
- Collaborate with external tool shops and maintain a spare parts system.
- Work closely with the New Production Tooling Manager on new tooling projects.
- Adhere to quality and environmental standards and instructions.
- Maintain a high standard of workplace organization through the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Skills Helpful for the Role:
- Proven experience in toolmaking, specifically with injection mould tools.
- Proficient in understanding engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective data presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
- Analytical mindset with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Quick learner with a focus on safety.
- Capable of meeting tight production targets.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and production costs, including waste, downtime, and scrap.
