What You Get to Do:

  • Repair and maintain tooling to support production and customer requirements.
  • Diagnose and improve tooling through detailed assessments and preventive maintenance.
  • Create and manage tooling reports and order spare parts as needed.
  • Polish and clean moulds to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Implement modifications and fabricate fixtures and spare parts.
  • Collaborate with external tool shops and maintain a spare parts system.
  • Work closely with the New Production Tooling Manager on new tooling projects.
  • Adhere to quality and environmental standards and instructions.
  • Maintain a high standard of workplace organization through the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Skills Helpful for the Role:

  • Proven experience in toolmaking, specifically with injection mould tools.
  • Proficient in understanding engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective data presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
  • Analytical mindset with a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Quick learner with a focus on safety.
  • Capable of meeting tight production targets.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and production costs, including waste, downtime, and scrap.
