Cover Supervisor

Join our network of secondary schools in Berkshire, dedicated to providing high-quality education and a supportive learning environment. We are seeking dedicated and suitably trained Cover Supervisors to ensure the continuity of education during short-term absences of teaching staff.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Supervise pupils during the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with the pre-prepared exercises.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
- Provide support and assistance to students, helping them understand and complete their tasks.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, fostering an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff to ensure a smooth transition during teacher absences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with secondary school students is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain discipline and engage students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and supporting students.
- Reliability and flexibility to adapt to varying classroom settings and requirements.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing classroom activities.
