We are searching for a Procurement Manager within the public sector. Responsibilities will include providing procurement advice, guidance, and support to customers, manage procurement and commissioning processes within the health care category. The ideal candidate will have experience working in public sector and have previously managed projects.

Job Title: Procurement Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum

Type: Permanent, Fully Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Provide procurement advice, support, and guidance to customers, primarily Integrated Care Boards, their partners, NHS England, and their commissioners, with potential services extended to other clients.
  • Collaboratively maintain and develop quality relationships with all customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and maintaining best practice procurement tools, techniques, and templates.
  • Conduct market research, analysis, and engagement prior to any tendering exercise to gauge market interest, inform the procurement approach, and promote competition wherever possible.
  • Execute agreed procurement processes using an electronic tendering system
  • Manage procurement projects that ensure high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective services, adhering to procurement and commissioning processes within required timelines and in full compliance with relevant regulations and legislation

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in public sector and dealing with public contract regulations (PCR15)
  • Experience with management of projects
  • Ability to plan over short, medium and long term time frames
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
