IT Programme Manager

Salary: £750 - £800 per day

Working Pattern: 40 hours per week / Full time

  • In-depth understanding of IT products, services and systems

  • Ability to understand the business needs and translate technical/non-technical elements

What do you need?

  • Relevant practitioner qualification required; degree level education desired
  • Ideally skilled in a number of project management / change management approaches, in particular Agile delivery, as well as the likes of MSP, Prince2, APM and PMP
  • Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. MSP, Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio
  • Shows a high level of planning aptitude with an ability to negotiate timelines and other delivery metrics across product lifecycle
  • Support budget and funding submissions, advocating for the correct level of funding to deliver against the products business and operational requirements with the ability to manage budgets with strong skills in estimating, forecasting and budget tracking and reporting
  • Experience of project cost accounting and a good understanding of capex vs opex budgetary structures
  • Ability to identify and manage key stakeholders including driving best value from commercial relationships.
  • Application of the concepts of delivery risks and issues including the ability to develop countermeasures and contingency plans associated with significant delivery risk
  • Ability to choose and deploy the appropriate approaches for outcome delivery
