Butler Rose is working alongside one of our leading large manufacturing clients who have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer - Software & Services to join their team. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification) and will be paying salary up to circa £45,000 depending on experience. Location can be Stevenage or Bolton (client may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Duties:
- The main purpose of the role is to provide support for Software Category Managers in the UK, France and Italy by handling software procurement in the UK and across the Group.
- You will work in partnership with our internal collaborators to handle procurement and competitions for software and services, champion the right relationships with our partners and suppliers and deliver the right procurement outcomes for Client.
- More specifically, there are two main roles to cover: one dedicated to the renewals and renegotiations of existing software, being a focal point for the collaborators in the UK and another role is one where you can run and build competitions and give in a truly international context.
What our client is looking for from you:
- Ideally, we would like someone willing to or working towards MCIPS qualification.
- Someone who understands software and software procurement, or is comfortable with learning and developing these skills, and has excellent soft skills.
- Willing to travel, collaborate with colleagues and partners, and able to work with multifunctional teams in person or remotely in Rome, Paris or in the UK.
