The Sales Director position is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in FMCG sales, capable of building robust relationships with key clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering the sales department's operations across On-Trade, Off-Trade and RTM and ensuring its targets align with the company's overall strategy.

Client Details

My client is an established, founder led business within spirits. As well as owning some strong recognisable brands, they also have a large own label business and operate both domestically and internationally across on-trade and grocery.

Description

  • Drive and execute the UK Sales strategy across On-Trade, Off-Trade and RTM
  • Support & build strong internal and external relationships
  • Build, motivate and develop sales teams. Set targets, offer support and be able to make tough decisions
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for the UK market
  • Regularly analyse sales data and report on sales activities and performance
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competition
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a harmonised approach to business growth
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

Profile

A successful Sales Director should have:

  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role within either food or drink
  • Experience across the On-Trade, Off-Trade and RTM within the UK
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends
  • Excellent reporting, communication, negotiation and leadership skills
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • A strategic mindset with a focus on innovative growth strategies
