I am recruiting for an Import Clerk to join a niche freight forwarding company based locally to Heathrow.
Daily duties will include:
- Prepare and review import documentation including AWB, invoices , import permits and other related documentation
- Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
- Coordinate with customs authorities to ensure timely clearance of goods
- Stay updated with import regulations, tariffs and trade agreements to ensure compliance with local and international laws
- Liaise with stakeholders and relevant departments
- Calculate and track import duties, taxes and fees payable on imported goods
- Monitoring and tracking shipments and providing updates to clients
Experience needed:
- Previous experience in an airfreight import role
- Knowledge of temperature controlled procedures and regulations is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working hours:
- 4on 4off NIGHTS, 6pm - 6am
