Are you a vibrant digital marketing specialist and seeking a new challenge?

We have a fabulous opportunity at DS Smith for a motivated and energetic self-starter to join the Brand & Digital Team as our Digital Communications Lead. This is a fantastic newly created role for the right candidate to be part of a dynamic and lively business function and drive our digital agenda forward.

This role is a crucial part of the team, as the successful candidate will act as a digital lead for the whole DS Smith Group, establishing a centre of excellence and ensuring a consistent digital strategy across the wide business. As a Digital Comms Lead, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing our digital strategy, managing the company website and social media channels, and using analytics to track performance and results of our digital campaigns to ensure accurate reporting and optimisation. Using your excellent writing & communication skills, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a cross divisional and regional digital centre of excellence with common objectives and targets;
  • Delivering KPI performance dashboards that include social, website, CRM and engagement metrics;
  • Driving development and implementation of new digital projects and tools, focusing on UX, lead conversion, and accessibility improvements;
  • Managing our corporate website across multi languages working with various digital agencies and partners;
  • Staying ahead of key developments in digital martech and how they might be applied for DS Smith's benefit.

About you?

  • Degree in related field (Comms/Marketing/Social Sciences) or equiv - desirable
  • Strong experience in managing corporate websites for matrix organisations across multiple markets - essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively and building strong relationships, negotiating, and influencing effectively to achieve business goals
  • Experience using website CMS platforms
  • Experience of working with SEA & SEO agencies or delivering in-house
  • Knowledge of emerging practices and trends in digital technologies and advances in social media
  • Proactive, detail-orientated & solutions focused
  • Process driven and able to manage their time effectively
  • Strong project management and reporting skills

Location: This is a hybrid role with 3 days based at our Head Office in Paddington and the other 2 days at home.
